Bycanistes bucinator

Recognisable like all members of the hornbill family by its large beak and casque - a strong, lightweight honeycomb structure above the beak.

African Grey Parrot

Psittacus erithacus

Predominantly grey, but with a white area around the eye and a red tail, this species is one of the most common to be kept in captivity - one factor, sadly, that has led to its decline in the wild. The male has a flatter, broader head than the female, and is generally an inch larger in size, with a wingspan of 13 inches. The female has a longer, more slender neck.

Waldrapp Ibis

Geronticus eremita
