Deer Paddock
The Deer Paddock is home to a herd of Axis deer or Chital (Cervus axis axis), an Indian species that is unusual in that it has no seasonal breeding cycle Visitors to The Wildlife Park are likely to see stags with antlers in a range of conditions - from full antlers to velvet to no antlers at all. Similarly, fawns are born all year round, after a gestation period of between 210 and 255 days.

Emperor goose at the Wildlife Park
Emperor goose (Anser canagicus). A native of Alaska and Siberia, it lays between three and eight eggs, which it incubates for 24 days.
Black swan at the Wildlife Park
Black swan (Cygnus atratus). This Australian species breeds by shallow lakes of fresh or brackish water in its native Australia. The parents take it in turns to incubate the clutch of five or six pale green eggs, which hatch after 40 days.
 
Lesser white fronted goose (Anser erythropus). One of three closely related species found in the Siberian tundra, western Asia and Europe. Its clutch of four or five eggs, laid in a small vegetation-filled nest, hatches after 25 days.
