Working at the Wildlife Park
Please note there are no vacancies for wildlife park keepers at present.

Animal Keeping

Working with animals is not the easiest or the most glamorous job in the world but can be very rewarding. It requires such qualities as compassion, commitment, observation skills, dedication, endurance, good practical skills, communication skills, commitment and common sense! And there plenty of others. You also need to bare in mind that you work in all weathers and most keepers are expected to give talks or presentations to the visitors.

Although keeping vacancies at the park only arise on average once or twice a year; prospective candidates are invited to forward their CVs to the Park Curator. These will be kept on file for 12 months and any suitable candidates will be contacted if any positions do become available. If you wish to forward your CV to us, you can email it to us here.

Please Note: We know commitment is in the list of qualities twice - this is not a type error!

keepers give public talks too!

Work Experience

Places for work experience students are very limited at the Wildlife Park considering the high demand for places. Unfortunately we are unable to take persons under 16 years of age and the minimum placement period is 20 working days.
