Teachers' Pack

Teachers' Packs and the National Curriculum

The Wildlife Park offers teachers a chance to explore many aspects of the National Curriculum in an exciting and innovative way. We must ask that you ensure that supervision is adequate at all times.

If you wish to organise a visit to the Wildlife Park please phone us. We will do our best to cater for your groups needs.

The Educational Pack we supply has been designed to give teachers and pupils the opportunity of studying rare and endangered animals, whilst satisfying the criteria for Key Stages 1 and 2. We hope that through this pack and a visit to the Park we will stimulate comparison, observation and exploration. Some topics can be developed further through classroom discussion.

You can order a free pack our Education Department on 01460 30965* or from the address at the foot of this page.

Alternatively you can download most of the pack information on-line here: Download: edpack06.pdf - 787kb

*Please Note: this line is for educational bookings only. Please call 01460 30111 for general enquires.

We at the Park believe that in working through this educational pack pupils are encouraged to use " first-hand investigations" to aid their knowledge, skills and understanding. There are obvious links within core English and core Mathematics but there are also strong links with Geography and Science.

Many of these links could be used for follow up activities and projects.
